Warrior For Life

Warrior For LifeConnecting Veterans and Employers in Houston.

The transition from civilian to military life can be difficult. The biggest obstacle to hurdle is finding that great career. Being a military veteran, you already stand out in the crowd as a resource that is sought by corporations. At the Warrior For Life Networking Luncheon, you get to meet those companies, one on one.

Designed to create direct contact between veterans and local employers, Warrior For Life provides the forum for veterans to get hired. Hosted once a month at Masraff's in the Galleria, veterans have a chance to market themselves in a professional, yet personal environment. The Lone Star Veterans Association has coordinated with local employers to emphasize a veteran hiring initiative and to introduce Warrior For Life as a resource for potential employees.

Veterans who attend the lunch are expected to dress in business attire and bring multiple copies of their resumes. Employers are asked to pay $25.00 per person in attendance, while veterans may attend the lunch for free. Once a month, a local company will sponsor the luncheon as a way to provide this free service for veterans. In return, that company is featured at the luncheon as the main sponsors and can have a presentation before the luncheon about their company.

Locations and times

Each lunch is the third Thursday of the month. We start at 10:30 with a presentation, networking at 11:30, and lunch beginning at 12:00.

Every lunch is located at Masraff's restaurant, in the Galleria area. The address is 1735 Post Oak Blvd, Houston, TX 77056. The closet intersection is San Felipe, just west of the 610 Loop.

Masraff's restaurant has been the gracious host for Warrior For Life and hosted the program when it was called Marine For Life. The Lone Star Veterans Association would like to thank Masraff's for continuing their support of Houston veterans by providing a high-end and professional setting for this event.

Sponsors and Featured Guests

Because this program is provided at no charge to Houston veterans, the Lone Star Veterans Association has relied on local companies and organizations to sponsor the lunch. Featured speakers have a one hour time period to present to the veterans before lunch. Companies that become sponsors have an opportunity to host the featured speaker, have their information handed out to the veterans, and to be acknowledged on our website. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Richard@LoneStarVeterans.org

The goal of any veteran is not to just get a job, but to start a career. These are some of the companies who have attended Warrior For Life Networking Luncheons in the past. The Lone Star Veterans Association would like to thank them for being a part of Warrior For Life.
