The Warrior’s Roundtable is the first project of its kind in Texas and is a personal development course used by Fortune 500 Companies across America. The LSVA has teamed up with the Menninger Clinic and MHA of Greater Houston to bring this course to veterans, active duty, guard and reserve, and their significant others in Houston, free of charge. The curriculum, based on Road Map to Peace of Mind by Michael Cofield Ph.D., ABPP and Mary Ann Zimmerman, MC, LPC, LISAC with supplemental information from Once a Warrior Always a Warrior by Charles Hoge, MD, Colonel, US Army (ret.), will teach returning vets how to navigate their way through the process of acclimating to civilian life following their combat deployment. This is not group therapy! Corporate America spends millions of dollars every year to have their employees become enlightened with this knowledge.
What is The Warrior's Roundtable?
The training will empower veterans to better understand the ways in which their brain and emotions work together to keep them safe in any situation while enhancing the skills they will need to modify reactions to everyday situations in order to transition successfully back to civilian life. The Warrior’s Roundtable will have an extraordinary impact on the lives of these service members and their families by aiding them with professional, academic, and personal development, which is proving to be a challenge with high numbers of veteran unemployment, suicide, and mental health issues.
Why should I go?
Besides this course being free, it is the first of it's kind that is dedicated to military veterans. Moving beyond a professional and personal development course, the Warrior's Roundtable is guide for veterans to succeed. This skills learned at the Warrior's Roundtable can be applied to your personal relationships, managerial skills, career advancement, parenting skills, and any aspect of your life.
