Members of LSVA know the proven bridge between the science of human behavior and everything you do, do you?
The Road Map To Peace Of Mind is the main ingredient to LSVA’s collaborative effort in creating the Warriors’ Roundtable. This proven, results driven program helps people win battles with stress, depression, generalized anxiety, and many other behavioral challenges facing normal, everyday people.
"The Warrior's Roundtable," the first project of its kind in Texas, is an innovative, new personal/relationship development course geared towards the Iraq and Afghanistan veteran. We all know of the extensive challenges that are present in families of veterans who have served and deployed. This month, The Warriors' Roundtable will focus on providing an opportunity to rebuild and strengthen the healthy relationship with your significant other.
It is free to veterans, active duty, guard and reserve, and their significant others. The curriculum, based on "Road Map to Peace of Mind" by Michael Cofield Ph.D., ABPP and Mary Ann Zimmerman, MC, LPC, LISAC with supplemental information from "Once a Warrior Always a Warrior" by Charles Hoge, MD, Colonel, US Army (ret.), will teach returning vets and their significant others how to navigate their way through the process of acclimating to civilian life following a combat deployment.
The Roundtable is a three part series featured on June 14, June 21, and June 28 at the University of Saint Thomas in Malloy Hall, Room 016 from 630-830pm. Attendance at all three sessions is expected.
*A delicious and free dinner will be provided along with good conversation starting at 6pm prior to each session. You will receive confirmation emails with directions and parking details. This is not group therapy or a couples retreat!
Please register today by emailing us at Roundtable@lonestarveterans.org. Space is limited.
