The TMC Veterans Initiative: “Hiring Red, White, and You!”

Members of the Texas Medical Center (TMC) have acknowledged the challenges facing our veterans and have come together to help veterans overcome the biases and roadblocks that prevent veterans from re-assimilating into civilian life. In support of this effort, Executives from both academic and healthcare members of the TMC came together to create a program targeted at helping veterans interested in continuing their careers in the healthcare industry. This program, called “Hiring Red, White and You!” will help veterans transfer the skills, knowledge and abilities developed in the armed forces to jobs in the TMC healthcare community.

Every American owes an immeasurable debt of gratitude to our veterans and their families. We hope that we can begin to repay this debt through our Texas-made “Hiring Red White and You!” program.
