Camaraderie Programs
The Lone Star Veterans has a variety of programs to keep veterans and their families involved in their communities. Upon leaving the military, many veterans miss the camaraderie that their unit provided for them. We bring veterans and their families together in a friendly environment that allows the LSVA to grow and become part of the Houston community.
These programs are free or at a low cost for veterans to participate in. From movies, pizza nights, professional sporting events, to community service projects and volunteer opportunities. Our goal is to provide places for veterans to succeed in Houston, while enjoying a good time.
Along with Camaraderie Programs, we also provide other programs in our goal to help out veterans and their families.

Softball LeagueCome out and join the LSVA Softball League. We have three teams this year, Combat Warriors, Elite Warriors, and the Tournament Team. We are playing at the Houston Sportsplex on Sundays. Come out and join us! |

Monthly SocialLast Thursday of every month, the Lone Star Vets meet up at Canyon Creek, near I-10 and Washington. We also have monthly socials in Katy, Clear Lake, and Sugar Land. |

Family EventsThroughout the year, the Lone Star Veterans Association hosts events for veterans and their families. From pizza parties to family movie nights, we provide an atmosphere for people of all ages to enjoy. Veteran Fitness ProgramMeet up with veterans just like you and take part in a trailblazing fitness program that combines peer mentorship with athletic endurance. Leadership TeamAs the Lone Star Vets expands, we continue to need the leaders to help run these programs. Communications, Government Relations, Business Development, and more. College credit and Fellowships available. |

Street TeamCome enjoy the city from a bicycle. Meet up with other veterans for bike tours around the city. The Street Team will also join with other programs to raise money for various charities. |

The Lone Star Veterans Association works with local athletic organizations to provide free tickets to such places as Astros, Rockets, Texans, Dynamo, and other professional athletic events. Follow us on Facebook to keep updated on these events. The Houston Astros also have a great program to provide discounted or free tickets to service members and veterans. |
